Greentree’s POS system has been designed to maximise data entry efficiency by minimising the number of keystrokes required to enter a sales transaction, with many time-saving factors built into Greentree POS.

For example, if your products are bar coded, a scanner will help save time since sales people don’t need to enter data at the check-out. If you don’t use a bar code system then ‘hotkeys’ enable instant access to options and forms during data entry. And in the event a customer transaction or enquiry looks like it might hold-up customers the operator can politely ask if they mind waiting while the enquiry is dealt with then ‘park’ the transaction, continue with the next customer and retrieve the transaction later. This means shorter queues and much happier customers by the time they get to the check-out operator.

Data entry can be configured to a user’s personal preferences. You can also use a POS purge transaction option which helps keep the size of your database to an optimal level thus further improving the speed of data entry and processing.

Online Access To Key Information Creates Options For Customers And Users

Several tasks can be undertaken during POS transaction entry, which help improve customer flows and service. For example, you can create a new customer account, save a pending sale for recall later or convert a quote into a sale on-the-fly.
